Although the YenkoTM / SC Camaro® does not win in the film, it is currently very successful. When the Chevy® Camaro® came out in 1967, Don Yenko saw a possibility for his Chevy® trade to offer versions with special performance. In 1969, Don Camaros was able to order with unique equipment through GM's special COPO order program. So he ordered 201 Camaros with L-72 engines and a number of other power extras. The Fast and the Furious franchise now has seven films and is the most popular series ever produced by Universal Studios.
